Overview
The GMEC Global Mathematics Elite Competition 2025 Macau Preliminary is a prestigious international math contest for students from kindergarten to high school. Organized by First Education Group, it offers two competition categories: Mathematics and Olympiad Mathematics, allowing students to showcase their talents.
Competition Details
- Competition Categories: Mathematics Group and Olympiad Mathematics Group.
- Grade Levels: K1 to K3, Primary 1 to 6, Secondary 1 to 6 (each grade competes separately).
- Competition Format: Bilingual (Chinese/English) test papers with multiple-choice and short-answer questions.
- Awards: Gold (top 10%), Silver (top 15%), and Bronze (top 25%) awards.
- Individual winners receive certificates and medals; top three in each grade receive trophies.
- Schools with gold award winners receive 'GMEC Outstanding Guidance School' award.
- Teachers and learning centers of gold award winners receive recognition certificates.
- Special Feature: Top overall winners from the finals will be invited to 'A Chat with Professors' at the GMEC awards ceremony.
Key Dates & Fees
- Macau Preliminary Dates: March 15–16 & 22–23, 2025 (Saturdays & Sundays).
- Registration Deadline: February 24, 2025.
- Fees: MOP 250 for one category; MOP 450 for both categories.
- Note: Participants will receive a practice paper via email each Friday after registration.
