Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival under a romantic Macau sky at the 3rd Macau International Lantern Festival. This large-scale public art event transforms the city's waterfront with monumental, illuminated lantern sculptures and interactive installations.

Featured Art & Installations

One Central Macau Promenade – "Love is in the Air"

Curated by renowned Macanese architect and artist Carlos Marreiros, this section features 10 monumental lantern sculptures (6–12 meters tall).

• Designer: All sculptures designed by Carlos Marreiros.
• Featured Works: "Love Couple", "All You Need is Love", "Origami Love Rabbits Tree", "The Poet of Love – Camilo Pessanha", "Joy of Love", "Emergency Love", "Queen of Hearts", "Eden’s Fruit of Love", "Love Rabbit for All".
• Artist Collaborations: Five sculptures were decorated by invited international artists:
  • "Joy of Love" by Macau painter Lio Man Cheong.
  • "Emergency Love" by Beijing artist Mei Le.
  • "Queen of Hearts" by Portuguese artist Ana Jacinto Nunes.
  • "Eden’s Fruit of Love" by British architect/artist Farah Carolina.
  • "Love Rabbit for All" by Italian artist Ugo Re.

Wynn Macau Promenade – "Wynn Butterfly Story"

• Theme: A series of large butterfly and flower art installations and an interactive LED light wall.
• Design: Created by Carlos Marreiros in collaboration with a team of local artists.
• Special Collaboration: In partnership with Fuhong Society of Macau, featuring a large moon lantern "Landing on 0.38 Kingdom of Happiness" by local artist Leong Ieng Wai (0.38).

Anim’Arte NAM VAN – "Tour & Play The Lantern"

• Producer: Macau cultural gifts design brand "Meeet".
• Features: Interactive light installations including rotating scene lanterns, pattern projection lights, and illuminated styling chairs. Encourages visitors to play and become part of the art.

Activities & Engagement

• WeChat "Treasure Hunt" Game: Scan QR codes at designated locations to participate and win prizes.
• "Best Photo Contest": Share your photos from the festival for a chance to win.
