Capture culture through the lens and pass on intangible heritage through imagery!
Organized by the Macao Heritage Ambassadors Association, the "Showcase Bay Area" photography competition invites you to document the rich and diverse intangible cultural heritage of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. From traditional festivals, opera, martial arts, and folk crafts to food and beliefs, all are treasures waiting to be captured.
Competition Categories
- Student Category: For Macao students studying locally or abroad.
- Open Category: For Macao residents or individuals working in Macao.
Key Details
- Submission Period: From now until October 31, 2025.
- Submission Method: Complete the application form and email your work(s) to [email protected].
- Awards: Each category awards Champion, Runner-up, Second Runner-up, and Most Outstanding Award, with prize money up to MOP 2,500!
- Exhibition: Winning works will be publicly exhibited in December 2025.
- Judging Criteria: Overall Aesthetics (40%) + Creative Features (30%) + Theme Presentation (30%).
Entry Guidelines
- Each participant may submit up to 3 original works.
- Simple post-processing is allowed, but excessive modification is prohibited.
- Works must not contain watermarks or commercial logos.
