Macao Basic Law Memorial Hall
The Macao Basic Law Memorial Hall is dedicated to showcasing the history and significance of the Macao Basic Law, the fundamental law of Macao that embodies the 'One Country, Two Systems' principle and the central government's policies towards Macao. Promulgated on March 31, 1993, the Basic Law marks its 30th anniversary this year.
Exhibitions and Features
- Multiple Exhibition Areas: Detail the historical background, drafting process, promotion, and implementation of the Macao Basic Law.
- Interactive Education Zone: Hosts the 'Memories of the Past – Nostalgic Items Exhibition' displaying goldsmithing artifacts such as plaques, scales, tools, jewelry boxes, and shop receipts, offering insights into the evolution of Macao's goldsmithing industry post-handover.
- Guided Services: Audio guides and free public guided tours are available to enhance understanding.
Visitor Information
- Schedule: Open daily from 10:00–19:00. Free public guided tours are offered on the fourth Sunday of each month from 15:00–16:00. Open on public holidays.
