Exhibition Overview
Presented by the Taipa Village Cultural Association, "Show Off 3.0" is the successful continuation of the art collection exhibition held over the past two years. This edition invites three prominent figures from diverse backgrounds to showcase their personal art collections: Lucia Lemos (Founder of Creative Macau), Carlos Morais José (Publisher and Editor), and Rita Machado (Architect).
Through their collections, the three collectors connect with their most intimate space—'home'—revealing unique perspectives on art collecting. The exhibition aims to promote collecting as a form of cultural asset, starting from personal initiative and contributing to broader common wealth, a healthy society, the diversification of the local economy (including art transactions), and the nurturing of local and international talent. Each collection perfectly reflects the personality of its collector.
About the Collectors
- Lucia Lemos is the founder of Creative Macau, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Macau's creative industries. Over the past two decades, she has focused on Macau's creative scene. As an artist, she is skilled in black-and-white photography and video. Interestingly, her selected collection primarily consists of paintings, showcasing the vitality and color of local and international artists.
- Carlos Morais José is a poet, writer, editor, and journalist, currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Portuguese-language daily Jornal Tribuna de Macau and manager of publishers COD and Livros do Meio. His collection evokes the subtle and complex relationship between scholars and scholar's rocks (供石), prompting aesthetic appreciation and contemplation.
- Rita Machado is interested in the fusion of Western and Eastern cultures and the relationship between urban and architectural design. She is the co-founder and principal architect of the award-winning studio Impromptu Projects. Her collection has naturally grown through friendships with numerous local and international artists.

- Taipa Village Cultural Association: Established in 2016, it is a non-profit group formed by professionals concerned with the cultural heritage of Taipa Village. It is dedicated to promoting the area's rich history and unique culture, fostering tourism and community development, and creating a better community through various art and cultural activities.
