About the Exhibition
The Macao Illustrators Association (MIA), founded in 2015 by professional illustrators and enthusiasts, is dedicated to promoting the development of illustration in Macao, uniting and nurturing local talent, and exploring greater possibilities for the profession within the local and overseas cultural and creative industries.
In late April 2017, the association will present its first thematic exhibition, "Painting the Era: Macao Illustrators' Thematic Exhibition," to the public.
Exhibition Theme & Highlights
- Theme: "Painting the Era"
- Featured Artists: 15 local professional illustrators
- Concept: Each artist interprets the theme of "era" through their unique perspective, using illustration to narrate the changes of time, evoking stories and associations. Every piece tells a unique story.
- Special Display: Fashionable cultural and creative products based on the theme, including limited-edition silk scarves (available for on-site order).
- Award-Winning Works: The exhibition also features award-winning works from participating illustrators who have received accolades in international competitions, showcasing how illustration is applied in both cultural and commercial fields.
