Macau Design Centre (MDC) is the first innovative multi-functional building in Macau dedicated to promoting the local cultural and creative industry. It was revitalized from a long-deserted old factory building in Areia Preta. The centre provides a hub for design resources and a venue for various design-related activities.
Since its inception, the centre has housed 17 local design companies and hosted numerous exhibitions and events, including the Taiwan "Design Warring States" exhibition and the 2015 International Design Competition Strategy Lecture and Training Camp under the "Cross-Strait Design Talent Development Program."
