Brief History

The garden was established in 1991 and is situated along Avenida dos Jardins do Oceano, adjacent to the Macao Scout Association Headquarters and the Taipa Tunnel. Built against the hillside, it is small yet elegant, and houses a monument dedicated to those who perished in the explosion of the Portuguese warship "Second Maria," from which the garden derives its name.
