Good news! The "Memory Salon" is now reopening for registration! Originally scheduled for August, this series of talks will now be held from November 11 to November 28, 2021. The event will maintain its original format, featuring three "Heritage Business Dialogues" sharing sessions and six thematic lectures. These sessions will bring together owners of Macau's time-honored "heritage businesses" for in-depth exchanges on community and city memories across three key areas:
The goal is to further promote the "Macau Memory" initiative within the community, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of community development and industry transformation.
These six lectures are an extension of the popular "Campus Lecture" series. They will cover fascinating topics such as:
Additionally, the producer of "Memory Legends" will be invited to share techniques for interpreting and narrating stories. Through case studies from the "Oral History of Macau's Heritage Businesses" project, the lectures aim to evoke collective memories among participants, encouraging them to revisit and learn more stories about the city's shops and regional development.
To ensure public health, the organizer has arranged for all venues to be cleaned and disinfected before each event. We will strictly adhere to the Macau SAR Government's epidemic prevention guidelines, implementing crowd control measures based on each facility's capacity.
