This exhibition presents classical landscape paintings of the 20th Century from the collection of the Macao Museum of Art. The exhibition is divided into two phases, showcasing a total of 64 works by 25 artists. The artworks, created between 1900 and 1999, primarily feature scenes of Macao and include sketches, watercolour paintings, and oils.

For artists, landscape painting is not merely the depiction of scenery but a lyrical and expressive tool. The works range from on-site sketches to pieces derived from memory or historical documentation, offering diverse expressions such as realism, impressionism, abstract, and semi-abstract styles. These paintings serve as an important visual record of Macao's changing cityscape over the 20th century.
