This time, the HUL Research Group will share their latest research project—Research on the Management and Planning of Macau's Historic Urban Landscape Based on the HUL Concept—and host an academic sharing session. We invite everyone to discuss "Inner Harbor," a land full of stories.

💡 What is HUL (Historic Urban Landscape)? It is a conservation strategy for urban-type World Heritage sites advocated by UNESCO. It does not focus solely on individual historic buildings but views the entire city as a dynamic, layered "living entity." From topography, ecology, and infrastructure to the daily lives and cultural traditions of residents, all are indispensable parts of the planning.

In this sharing session, we will explore Inner Harbor and HUL by discussing: 1️⃣ What core historical value and conservation significance does the Inner Harbor area possess? 2️⃣ What is the current state of Inner Harbor's tangible and intangible cultural assets, and how can planning knowledge from HUL be used to formulate effective conservation plans? 3️⃣ How can Macau's historic districts in the future use HUL's management concepts to retain the "old soul" while injecting "new vitality"?
