This exhibition showcases the exquisite art of black pottery from Shandong and Qinghai provinces. Shandong black pottery is renowned for its masterful firing techniques, blending historical depth with modern aesthetics. The Tibetan black pottery from Qinghai is a crystallization of cultural fusion between Tibetan and Han traditions, featuring rich forms and diverse categories that integrate practicality, artistry, and visual appeal.
The exhibition presents selected masterpieces from two representative projects of China's National Intangible Cultural Heritage: the Pottery Firing Technique (Dezhou Black Pottery Firing Technique) and the Pottery Firing Technique (Tibetan Black Pottery Firing Technique). It highlights the long history and extensive variety of black pottery works from these two regions.
