Overview

Dr. Sun Yat-sen Municipal Park is one of the most frequently used parks in Macao's Northern District. Originally a landfill site for the Yap Chong River before 1983, it was one of the city's first environmental protection pilot projects. The park blends Chinese and Western garden styles, with its design based on broad, wavy lawns that follow the original uneven terrain of the landfill.
