Event Overview
Organized by Macau's Choi Seng Kei Grocery Store, the Creative Industry Promotion Association of St. Lazarus Parish, and Ox Warehouse 10, and sponsored by the Cultural Development Fund of the Macau SAR Government, Choi Seng Kei Collection • Illustration Joint Exhibition Part 2 returns in October 2024. The exhibition showcases a collection of nostalgic items alongside contemporary illustrations.
Remember the joint exhibition held during the pandemic in 2021? After the pandemic, we are back in October 2024 to host the exhibition again in Macau. The exhibition features over a hundred antiques and has invited illustrators from Taiwan and Japan to participate.
Featured Artists
- Choi Seng Kei (崔成記): The name "Choi Seng" is taken from the owner's grandfather, who was a "rag-and-bone man" in his youth. Established in 2015, Choi Seng Kei specializes in selling nostalgic goods from Japan, Hong Kong, and Macau, and collaborates with illustrators to produce its own line of merchandise.
- Sabu (さぶ): An illustrator who has been active since 2012, Sabu explores the possibilities of expression through illustration and handcrafting.
- Shimizu (おまけ星): An illustrator born in Japan in 1993, Shimizu loves colorful things, dreamy objects, and interesting stories.
- OnlyTwo: A professional hand-drawn illustrator who primarily uses acrylics and colored pencils. The main subjects are dolls and young women, capturing various moods and experiences from daily life with a paintbrush.
