"Charmed by October • Discovering Felicidade" is a nostalgic cultural event series that recreates the vibrant street life of Macau in the 1960s and 1970s, celebrating the 'happiness and contentment' of that era.
Program Highlights
Zone 1: "Charmed by October" Nostalgic Old Street (Rua de Cinco de Outubro District)
- Date & Time: 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM, every Friday to Sunday
- Features: A lively recreation of the historic "Kang Gong Night Market" atmosphere.
- Activities: Strolling performers dressed as 'factory girls' with thermos flasks and fashionable men in bell-bottoms, nostalgic street food, improvisational theatre, song and dance performances, and street acrobatics.
Zone 2: "Discovering Felicidade" (Rua da Felicidade District)
- Date & Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, every Saturday
- Features: A celebration of the history and stories of the Felicidade district.
- Activities: Screenings of eight original short films depicting the past and present of the area, live Jazz music, and street performances.
