About the Competition

To promote and encourage students to monitor and analyze meteorological data in a systematic, scientific manner, and to establish a basic weather monitoring station for themselves or their school clubs, the Geophysical and Meteorological Bureau (SMG) and the Macao Science Center (MSC) will jointly organize a project-oriented competition.

Participating school teams will receive a set of weather monitoring instruments/components. After assembly, they will use this equipment to collect weather-related information and share it with the public in real-time via a webpage. Furthermore, the competition requires participating teams to analyze the collected data and present their findings, thereby understanding the characteristics of different weather processes and related scientific issues in meteorological monitoring.
