About the Exhibition
This exhibition is held in response to the "Diocesan Vocation Year" announced by the Catholic Diocese of Macau, running from April 30, 2023, to December 8, 2024. It aims to encourage young men and women to generously respond to God's call and invites everyone to pray for vocations.
In the Catholic Church, "vocation" refers to the unique talents, identities, and circumstances given by the Creator to each person, encouraging them to use their gifts to serve society and the world.
Exhibition Layout
- Left Gallery: Features photographic works by individuals at different life stages and from various professions, expressing their personal understanding of "vocation."
- Right Gallery: Displays the emblems and mottos of various religious congregations within the Macau Catholic Church, offering insight into their spirit of service.
- The names and mottos of the religious congregations were specially calligraphed for this exhibition by Mr. Choi Chuen Hing, a devoted Catholic and renowned Macau calligrapher.
