Artistic Convergence - Hidden Perspectives
Ark - Association of Macau Art presents its annual thematic exhibition series, "Artistic Convergence - Hidden Perspectives," from May to August. The series aims to bring together artists of diverse styles, regardless of gender, age, nationality, or residence, to create works around a common theme. Each artist uses their unique techniques, media, concepts, styles, and experiences. Their works are exhibited in a relay format, offering audiences a varied and engaging experience.
The theme "Artistic Convergence - Hidden Perspectives" revolves around Macau's unique urban background, which blends Chinese and Western cultures. It explores the city's transformation from a fishing village into a vibrant entertainment hub rich in Sino-Portuguese culture. Amidst increasing urbanization and a fast-paced lifestyle, how many people notice the small, inconspicuous "hidden perspectives" of Macau? These unique "landscapes" bear witness to the city's development yet are often forgotten.
The association is honored to invite three local artists to participate in this exhibition series: painter Ms. Yaya Vai, handicraft artist "Straw Master" Mr. Bezalel Ho, and illustrator Ms. Vanda Chan. They will express and create from their unique styles and perspectives, offering audiences a different visual experience and interpreting the contrasting works of the three artists under the same theme.
