The exhibition showcases 61 works/sets of diverse themes, including pieces that use epigraphy to inscribe urban memories, interpret Taoist philosophy with brush and ink, integrate intangible cultural heritage into ink paintings, and draw inspiration from Song and Ming classical styles. It also features works that express emotions through objects, reflect on life, and offer new interpretations of sketching from nature. The exhibition fully demonstrates the creative achievements and exploratory vitality of Macau local artists in the field of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy.
This year's call for submissions in May included categories such as Chinese painting, calligraphy, seal carving, and experimental ink painting. The event received an enthusiastic response from Macau's art creators, with 161 participants submitting 161 works/sets. After rigorous selection by the judging panel, 61 works/sets were chosen for exhibition, including 10 "Outstanding Work Awards." The award-winning artists (listed in stroke order of surnames) are: Ho Kwok Hung, Ho Weng Chi, Mok Hei Sai, Tsang Ching Ching, Wong Miu Ngor, Wong Wan Lam, Ip Kit Hou, Lau Yu Keoi, Lo Siu I, and Yim Hok Lun.
