Event Overview

A cross-border cycling event promoting green transportation and low-carbon living, organized as part of World Car-Free Day celebrations. Participants will cycle approximately 26 km along scenic routes in Macao and Zhuhai.

• Route: Participants gather at Yap Chong River Park in Macao, cross the border at Gongbei Port, cycle along the Lover's Road to the Seaside Swimming Pool Square for the starting ceremony, then ride with Zhuhai participants to Yeli Island for a loop, have lunch at a restaurant, and return via the same route to Gongbei Port.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Must be a Macao resident aged 15 or above (born in 1998 or earlier).
• Participants under 18 (born in 1995 or later) require parental/guardian consent.
• Participants must bring their own bicycle.

Registration Details

• Registration Period: September 11–18, 2013
• Quota: 100 participants (first-come, first-served, maximum 3 slots per registration)
• Deposit: MOP 50 per participant (refundable upon return of the bicycle frame number plate after the event)
• Required Documents: Completed application form (downloadable from DSPA or Macao Cycling Association websites), photocopy of Macao Resident ID, and photocopy of Mainland Travel Permit (Home Return Permit).
• Registration Address: Macao Cycling Association Office – Badminton Reception, Olympic Sports Centre, Estrada Desportiva, Taipa.
• Registration Hours: 14:30–19:30 (including weekends)

Equipment & Preparation

• Attach the provided frame number plate to the bicycle handlebar.
• Wear comfortable sportswear.
• Use of a bicycle with gears is recommended.
• Wearing a hard-shell safety helmet is recommended.
• Bring your own water bottle to support environmental protection.

Safety & Important Notes

• Participants must know and obey traffic rules (keep left in Macao, keep right in mainland China).
• This is a mass sports activity, not a competition.
• The organizers are not responsible for traffic violations, accidents, injuries, or equipment damage during the tour.
• The following individuals are advised not to participate: those with spinal conditions, lower limb arthritis, weak cardiopulmonary function, or balance difficulties.

Weather Arrangements

• The event will be cancelled if Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 3 or above is hoisted at 7:00 AM on the event day.
• The event will be cancelled if the Rainstorm Warning Signal or Thunderstorm Warning Signal remains in effect at 7:00 AM on the event day.
• In case of severe weather (heavy rain/thunderstorms) without official warnings, the Macao Cycling Association will contact all participants regarding arrangements.
