Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that serves as a non-verbal tool. It aids in the release and alleviation of psychological stress. Without the need for words, the arrangement of elements like dots, lines, colors, or shapes on paper, and even the body language during the creative process, indirectly conveys the subconscious thoughts of the artist.
This foundational course in art therapy is based on the projective theory of drawing. Using client artwork for illustration, it helps participants understand the therapeutic factors and transformative functions of art therapy. The introductory techniques focus on free drawing or projective drawing, guiding participants to learn how to explore and analyze the content of drawings from an analytical psychology perspective.
