Japanese artist Yuta Okuda presents his first solo exhibition in Macau, "WITH GRATITUDE: Heart Flowers Like Dew." Following his touring exhibition in Singapore, this showcase features vibrant, multi-colored floral artworks. At first glance, the pieces may evoke the work of pop music artists, but a closer look reveals each petal is painted with exquisite detail.
The themes are rooted in Okuda's childhood memories of "self-salvation." The emergence of the novel coronavirus led him to realize that things he once took for granted were, in fact, extraordinary. Since then, he has dedicated himself to creating floral works under the theme "With Gratitude," using his art to convey a mindset of thankfulness during the pandemic, inspire a love for life, and embrace a colorful world.
