About the Artist & Works
- "Multiple Exposure Photography Method": This book promotes a unique photographic technique, teaching how to create images with ink-wash and oil-painting effects directly in-camera, without any computer post-processing.
- "Window": This collection features Macau's old-style windows with Sino-Portuguese characteristics as subjects. It explores the symbiotic relationships between society and family, and the individual and the environment, inviting endless reflection from the viewer.
- Artist's Journey: Wong Sek Kuan began his journey with photography in his youth, evolving from an enthusiast to a tutor, an award-winning international artist, a photo lab owner in the 80s, and later a chairman of a cultural and creative organization in Macau. Through the evolution from black-and-white to color, and film to digital, he remains a passionate photographer at heart. His philosophy advocates for photography to transcend mere documentation and embrace artistic expression, leading to his concept of "painting with a camera" and the development of the "Multiple Exposure Photography Method".
