Exhibition Overview
Multi-dimensional experiential art space Artelli, in collaboration with the Macau art group Art For All Society, presents the dual exhibition "Viral Code? – A Discussion on Art and the Masses" featuring Chinese contemporary artist Zhao Xiaoli and Macau-based cross-media artist Wu Xixia. This project is supported by the 2024 Cultural Development Fund, with City of Dreams and Air Macau as supporting units. The exhibition focuses on exploring the subtle relationship between artistic creation, public evaluation, and the digital environment, with particular attention to the importance of contemporary social platforms and traffic culture in shaping and influencing art.
This dual exhibition is under the academic guidance of internationally renowned curator and artist Victoria Lu (Lu Rongzhi). It marks the first collaboration between Zhao Xiaoli and Wu Xixia, bringing together a multi-layered journey of reflection on art, online traffic, and female imagery.
