Ox Warehouse Art Space presents "Van Van," a conceptual photography exhibition by two emerging Macau artists, Joein Leong and Icarus Wong. The exhibition features works where each artist uses a relative as the central subject, exploring the visualization of personal concepts through the medium of photography. The focus is on the intellectual and emotional exploration that precedes the act of capturing an image, resulting in photographs where beauty stems from the profound relationship between photographer and subject, not just composition and tone.
Both artists are graduates of the Macao Polytechnic Institute's design program. Since their student days, they have been passionate about using photography to interpret their worldview. As part of Macau's new generation of artists, they have actively participated in various art events and collaborated with creatives across different fields.
