A joint photography exhibition titled "Travelling with 36's Films," featuring works by two Macau-based photographers, Sou Io Kai and Calvin Lam. The exhibition showcases their artistic journey captured through film photography.
Born in Macau, Sou Io Kai was a third-year student in the Department of Art and Design at National Dong Hwa University in Taiwan at the time of the exhibition. His background is deeply rooted in theater, having participated in numerous stage performances since childhood, which cultivated his sensitivity to visual composition. He developed a passion for film photography during his university years, captivated by its unique tones, three-dimensional feel, and grain texture. He also has a tradition of riding a motorcycle around Taiwan every year.
Calvin Lam previously served as the Exhibition Production Manager at Ox Warehouse in Macau. He is a frequent photographer for local theater productions. Since his introduction to drama in 2004, he has dedicated himself to lighting design and backstage theater work. His extensive portfolio includes lighting design for various productions at venues like the Macao Cultural Centre Black Box Theatre and Ox Warehouse Theatre Season, as well as serving as an assistant lighting designer and stage manager for European tours.
