Taipa Old Town Cultural Association presents the art collection exhibition 'Show Off 4.0'. This exhibition is a continuation of the 'Show Off' collection exhibitions held over the past three years. Due to the success of previous editions, it returns this year, specially inviting three prominent figures from different backgrounds to exhibit their collected artworks: economist José Isaac Duarte, legal advisor Luís Pessanha, and artist Ms. Zhou Yuling.

In this exhibition, the three collectors showcase artworks they have collected over many years, even decades. By displaying their collections, they connect with their most intimate space—'home'—revealing perspectives on art collecting. The aim is to promote collecting as a cultural asset, starting from individual initiative, which can even contribute to broader common wealth, a healthy society, the diversification of the local economy (including art transactions), and the cultivation of local and international talent. Each collection perfectly reflects the collector's personality.

About the Collectors:

• José Isaac Duarte: A university economics lecturer who also writes regularly for local media on economic and social issues. He is the founder and former managing partner of the Amagao Gallery at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau, dedicated to promoting art from Portuguese-speaking countries. He presents works by Mozambican artist Malangatana Valente Ngwenya (1936–2011), widely regarded as one of Mozambique's most important modern artists and a pivotal figure in 20th-century African art.
• Luís Pessanha: A legal professional and researcher, currently serving as a legal advisor to the Legislative Assembly of Macau and a part-time lecturer at the University of Macau Faculty of Law. Beyond his legal career, he is passionate about fine arts. Over the decades, he has carefully assembled a collection of artworks by local painters, artisans, and photographers, each piece holding special meaning and a unique story.
• Zhou Yuling: Vice President of the Macau Yee Yuan Calligraphy and Painting Association, academic advisor to the Macau Chinese Culture and Art Association, art advisor to the Macau Culture and Art Society, honorary advisor to the International Women Artists Association Macau Branch, and member of the Macau Art Association. She showcases two shop signs from her former stores and other personal items, objects she proudly and affectionately treasures at home.

About Taipa Old Town Cultural Association: Founded in 2016, it is a non-profit group formed by professionals concerned with the cultural heritage of Taipa Old Town.
