To welcome the summer, the ARK Association of Macau Art proudly presents 'Summer. Initial Heart,' a joint exhibition featuring works by four young female artists—Chan Ka Weng, Yu Chin Cheng, Fu Man Teng, and Chou Lai Ieng. Through different media, they present their own interpretations of summer, revealing their initial heart for artistic creation.
Sponsored by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, this two-week summer-themed exhibition is held at the Youth Art Gallery in Tap Seac Square. From a female perspective, it unveils the stories of four young girls who are passionate about art, aesthetics, and imagination. Through their vibrant and colorful works, they express a yearning for summer, hoping to rediscover their initial heart through artistic creation, reclaim their emotions, and rediscover beautiful memories.
Visitors can further explore the inner worlds of these four artists, listen to their stories, and interact with them to discuss the meaning and value of art and culture in life. The artists share the same passion, believing the exhibition will bring them rich cultural experiences and beautiful memories while enhancing their artistic literacy and cultural knowledge.
"I am honored to gather four talented female artists to showcase works in different media for this unique summer," said curator Pamela Chan. "Rediscovering one's initial heart and understanding one's motivation are crucial for inspiring creative thinking."
The ARK Association of Macau Art will continue to organize various art exhibitions to showcase the efforts of local talents, enhance the artistic atmosphere of Macau's Historic Centre, and contribute to the sustainable development of the local cultural and creative industries.
A Macau Cultural Ambassador and Vice President of the ARK Association of Macau Art, Pamela Chan is also the Managing Director of Taipa Village Macau Limited and Vice Chairman of the Taipa Village Cultural Association, dedicated to promoting art, history, culture, and the community economy in Taipa Old Town.
The ARK Association of Macau Art aims to promote art and culture by organizing exhibitions, talks, and workshops, providing a space for Macau residents to learn, create, and enjoy art, thereby enhancing public appreciation of art and improving quality of life.
