In 2024, China marked several significant anniversaries, including the 65th anniversary of the discovery of the Daqing Oil Field, the 135th birthday of Li Siguang, the 60th anniversary of China's first successful atomic bomb test, the centenary of the births of Deng Jiaxian and Zhu Guangya, the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the National Supreme Science and Technology Award, and the 105th birthdays of award winners Wu Wenjun and Huang Kun. While these milestones have different historical contexts, the spirit they embody transcends time and space, inspiring generations.
To honor these achievements, the China Science and Technology Museum, in collaboration with the Macao Science Center and the Macao Association for Science and Technology, presents the "Starlight China, Science Innovation Future" exhibition series. This exhibition tells the stories of scientists and technologists who dedicated themselves to serving and strengthening the nation through science and technology.
The series comprises three thematic sections:
The exhibition features multimedia installations and physical exhibits designed to be scientific, informative, and engaging. It aims to demonstrate scientific principles and technological applications through visual storytelling, encouraging hands-on exploration and fostering scientific thinking, methodology, and spirit among the public.
Additionally, the exhibition will showcase products developed by Macao's own research enterprises, offering visitors insight into local scientific research and invention achievements.
Join us in tracing the journey of these pioneering scientists, understanding the defining spirit of their era, and carrying their legacy forward with purpose and determination.
