This exhibition displays some of the major paintings and collections donated to or acquired by Macau Museum. It features rare works by the most influential 19th-century Western painters in the East, including George Chinnery, Thomas Boswall Watson, and Marciano António Baptista. Through these artists' works, residents and tourists can witness the transformation and development of customs in Macau and Southern China and appreciate the legacy of these artists, who not only introduced Western art techniques but helped establish Macau as a point of Sino-Western cultural convergence.
