The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau's Youth Art Gallery presents "Sixteen Years After – Youth Artists Exhibition" from August 9 to 21, 2016.
Curated by Zheng Yourong, the exhibition showcases paintings, sculptures, and installations by a group of young artists including Zeng Jiabao, Zheng Yourong, Zhang Ke, Li Xueying, Lin Zifu, Liang Zhen, and Li Yingrong.
The works revolve around the theme of Macau's return, employing diverse artistic techniques to express the artists' personal perspectives on the city. The exhibition aims not only to showcase unique aesthetic viewpoints but also to foster positive interaction, mutual inspiration, and growth among the participating artists. This initiative seeks to invigorate the local art scene and encourage the younger generation to create more vibrant and diverse works.
A notable aspect of the gallery's program is that participants, with the assistance, guidance, and encouragement of gallery staff, are involved in all stages of exhibition preparation—from planning and promotional material design to installation. This hands-on approach embodies the gallery's core mission: to provide a space for young people to exhibit their talents, share creativity, and cultivate innovative thinking and self-confidence.
