Event Overview

Every weekend in April, a series of free cultural performances showcasing Chinese and Portuguese traditions will be staged at various famous landmarks across Macau. This outdoor festival offers a unique blend of East-meets-West entertainment, featuring a variety of short, engaging shows perfect for visitors and locals alike. Each performance lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Featured Performances

• Lion Dance: A challenging and spectacular traditional Chinese art.
• Chinese Martial Arts: Demonstrations of skill and discipline.
• Cantonese Opera: A synthesis of colorful costumes, unique singing, Chinese legends, music, and drama. Listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
• Drunken Dragon Dance: A traditional celebration of Macau's fishing community. Also listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
• Portuguese Folk Dance (土風舞): A lively and flexible group dance originating from Portugal.
• Street Dance: Energetic performances for all ages.
• Magic Show & Balloon Twisting: Fun, interactive entertainment.
• Music Performances: Live music at various locations.

The performances are integrated with the "Step Out, Experience Macau's Communities" walking tour routes, extending the fun to more scenic spots.
