While studying at the Paris University of Social Sciences, Hong Wai held a solo exhibition displaying her Chinese ink-art works in the French capital. After finishing her degree and starting a family, the Shanghai-born, Macao-raised artist took up the paint brush again in 2012, embarking on a journey into digital painting. According to the exhibition's curator, local artist Alice Kok, Hong Wai's latest "Moonlight Series" uses photography-based composition to "freeze" the elements of nature.
