Exhibition Overview
This special exhibition showcases precious collections from the Maritime Museum, Macao Museum, and Macao Archives. It features a unique perspective on the region's maritime history and cultural landscape.
Featured Collections
- 18th and 19th Century Maps: Historical maps of Macao and the Pearl River Delta.
- Late Qing Dynasty Photos: Photographs from the Imperial Customs of the late Qing period.
- Local Art: Watercolour paintings of the 1970s-80s Inner Harbor by renowned Macao artist Kam Cheong Ling.
Maritime Museum Information
In addition to the special exhibition, the Maritime Museum is now completely free to the public. It consists of three main halls:
- Maritime Ethnology Exhibition Hall: Presents the traditions and art of fishermen from Macao and other regions of South China.
- Maritime History Exhibition Hall: Explores Portuguese and Chinese maritime history from the 15th to 17th centuries.
- Maritime Technology Exhibition Hall: Displays technologies related to maritime transport, dredging, and navigation.
