About the Day
Portugal Day, Camões Day and Portuguese Communities Day is celebrated on June 10th, commemorating the renowned Portuguese poet Luís de Camões. The day honors Camões, whose epic poem 'Os Lusíadas' (The Lusiads) is said to have been completed in a grotto within Macau's Camões Garden (白鴿巢公園).
