About the Event
Poetic Path of the Lost City, organized by the Association of Heritage Ambassadors and Yeng Yi Dance Garden since 2012, has now reached its fifth edition! This year, it has evolved into a (micro) old city wandering arts festival. We hope to continue exploring the beauty of heritage city life through the five senses and artistic discovery.
This edition's activities will run from now until early next year, featuring collective creation with local residents, artists, heritage ambassadors, and volunteers. It offers richer pre-performance art activities, workshops, and city tours, building momentum for a two-week exhibition and performance in March 2022.
The theme for this edition is "The Invisible Coastline," inviting everyone to discover, review, and envision our relationship with the sea.

Route Information
November 20: St. Lazarus Route
- Meeting Point: Open space in front of Shui Lou Weng Seafood Hotpot Restaurant (Intersection of Rua do Almirante Sérgio and Travessa do Pagode)
- Description: Led by heritage ambassadors, this tour explores the Inner Harbour in the afternoon, weaving through streets and alleys to recount stories of the prosperous Chinese commercial district post-19th century. The content closely ties to the festival's exploration and performance themes.
November 21: Kun Iam Temple Route
- Meeting Point: Largo do Pagode do Bazar
- Description: Lù Shí Táng (炉石塘) was originally a typhoon shelter in Macau's North Bay (Inner Harbour), transformed through multiple land reclamation projects by the Portuguese administration. The original coastline is now a road, and the former water inlets along the pond have become today's streets. The guide will lead participants from Kun Iam Temple to explore the former "Eighteen Inlets" on Rua de Camilo Pessanha, uncovering traces of Lù Shí Táng, imagining its bustling past, and searching for an important piece of Macau's economic transformation over the past century.
Tour support provided by Heritage Ambassadors.
