"Perfect Moment" – Lau Man Chi Solo Exhibition is part of the 2025 Artist-in-Residence Program. This exhibition presents approximately 36 works, including paintings, watercolors, and ceramics, exploring the concept of the "perfect moment" in the flow of time.
"Perfect Moment" symbolizes the desire for, pursuit of, and becoming of perfection. As time flies, when is the most perfect moment? The answer may lie in memories, yet the past held no answers. In the chase of fleeting seconds, brilliant moments pass in a blink—moments of sadness, anger, joy, and happiness. The artist, realizing this only now, finds the answer. Frozen time is like an empty hourglass, sometimes overflowing, sometimes lonely. Replaying scenes in the mind attempts to prove that perfect moments truly existed. Perhaps reality is more fictional than imagination—this is the symbiotic evolution of edges merging with circles. In the beauty of life, one can rediscover that everything is the best arrangement. Follow the pathways of the mind and feel the beauty brought by time.
Lau Man Chi was born in Macau in 1999. She graduated in 2021 from the Macao Polytechnic University's Faculty of Arts, Visual Arts program, majoring in ceramics. She is currently a visual arts educator and a member of the Macau Artist Society. Her work spans multiple fields, including sketching, oil painting, watercolor, ceramics, graphic design, and photography. She enjoys the peace and harmony that painting brings, which led her to study art and explore the balance between three-dimensional and two-dimensional art. As a Macau native born in the year of the handover, she hopes to record personal reflections through her work while showcasing the rich colors and charm of Macau.
Free admission. Art enthusiasts and the public are warmly invited to visit.
