Open Call for Proposals: 59th Venice Biennale - Macau, China Pavilion
The Macao Museum of Art (MAM), under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), is launching an open call for proposals for the Macau, China pavilion at the 59th Venice International Art Biennale. The Biennale will be held in Venice, Italy, in April 2022.
Proposal Submission Details
- Submission Period: From now until August 13, 2021.
- Eligibility: Proposals must be submitted by teams.
- Team Composition: A minimum of two people is required.
- One team member must be a curator (can be a Macau resident or non-resident).
- The participating artist(s) and the main proposer must be Macau Permanent Residents.
- All team members must be aged 18 or above.
- At least one team member must have experience participating in public contemporary art exhibitions or hold an academic qualification in an art-related field.
Selection Process
- A selection committee, comprising experts in relevant fields and representatives from the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will evaluate the proposals.
- The selection results will be announced within September 2021.
