Part of the 'New Art People Project', 'Start' is the debut exhibition by 2UP Studio. The title signifies a 'rebirth and unfolding,' symbolizing the beginning of their creative journey (Qi) and their focus on pixels (Dian). The exhibition explores the influence of video game culture on the younger generation through the unique medium of pixel art.
The artwork uses a pixelated style to portray Macao's cityscapes, environmental conditions, and the unique, characteristic figures of everyday life. The exhibition reflects the colors and anecdotes of this small yet vibrant city, offering alternative and playful visual effects that resonate with viewers and evoke smiles.
