An exhibition themed around bizarre creatures from coastal shallows to the deep sea. It features nine zones including Fantastical Drifters, Mysterious Creatures, Encountering Giants, The Deep Ocean, Invisible Boundaries, The Bountiful Ocean, and Mirror Sea: Past and Present. Over 30 exhibits are on display, including the precious skeletal specimen of a Chinese white dolphin.
The exhibition uses various interactive and multimedia methods—such as simulated fluorescent marine life models, a 180-degree panoramic screen, an interactive sandbox of ocean topography, a science theater, a virtual diving game, and scientific documentaries—to introduce marine science knowledge to the public and encourage visitors to contemplate the importance of marine conservation and sustainable development.
Additionally, to introduce the public to the development of Macao's maritime areas and fisheries, the exhibition features a special "Mirror Sea: Past and Present" zone. This area details the changes in Macao's waters and shipping routes over the years, the development of the fishing industry, showcases underwater robots developed by local students, and provides knowledge about major natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis.
