Overview
Mong Ha Hill was originally a dense natural forest, serving as one of the "urban lungs" of the Macau Peninsula. In the 1990s, it was developed into a green space for leisure activities, opening to the public in 1997 and named Mong Ha Hill Municipal Park. Among the park's lush native vegetation, visitors can still see some old military facilities.

Park Features
- Main Entrance: Located on Avenida do Coronel Mesquita, accessible via the Mong Ha Fortress slope, near the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies.
- Central Square: Features a Roman-style fountain plaza and an artificial lake, serving as a hub for various paths and activities.
- Mong Ha Hill Fitness Trail: West of the Central Square, this trail winds along slopes planted with native tree species. It leads to a performance area and a hidden viewing platform atop two large rocks, offering panoramic views of Macau. Pavilions are scattered along the circular mountain path for rest.
- Mong Ha Hill Fortress: Reachable via a slope northwest of the Central Square, this is the park's highest point. It was a key military defense stronghold in the late 19th century, overseeing activities around the Border Gate. Past a pond, you'll find a children's playground and a stone cave.
- East Side: Descending the steps east of the square leads to a pebble walking path and an Environmental Information Centre.
