To promote the development of Macao's fashion industry, the Macao SAR Government has been implementing the "Cultural and Creative Industries Subsidy Program Series" in recent years to support local fashion designers. Macao Fashion Gallery presents "Moment · Fashion Convergence – The 3rd Fashion Design Sample Production Subsidy Program Exhibition" as its grand finale exhibition for the year, showcasing the results of the latest "2015 Fashion Design Sample Production Subsidy Program" and gathering the most vibrant creativity and strongest works from local fashion design.
This exhibition will feature works from eight (groups) of selected designers from the subsidy program, including:
The selected works successfully obtained subsidies after a rigorous preliminary and secondary selection process by a professional judging panel. Each designer (group) will showcase two selected works, with diverse design styles and clothing types, including stylish menswear, casual wear for men and women, ladies' evening gowns, and fashionable womenswear, totaling sixteen sets.
The Cultural Affairs Bureau first launched the "Cultural and Creative Industries Subsidy Program Series" in 2013. The program aims to subsidize Macao fashion designers in research, development, and innovation, encouraging them to formulate feasible and comprehensive marketing plans, promoting commercial activities or participation in domestic and international fashion trade fairs, enhancing their visibility and market competitiveness in the fashion industry, and continuously advancing the development of the local fashion design sector.
Through this exhibition, the goal is not only to introduce local fashion design to the public but also to build a communication platform for designers, fostering more collaboration opportunities and expanding broader development space for the local fashion design community.
