The Mi Leather '革·藝' Leatherware and Leather Carving Exhibition, co-organized by the St. Lazarus Creative Industries Promotion Association and the Old Ladies' House Art Space, showcases over 50 leather art pieces created by instructors Sin Mei-yee and Sin Mei-cheong, along with their workshop students. The exhibition aims to share the joy and results of their learning journey while promoting the appreciation of leather craftsmanship's intricacy and beauty in Macau.
Sin Mei-cheong and Sin Mei-yee are the brand agents for Mi Leather and have a deep passion for leather products. They began studying leather carving over five years ago, training in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan to master and promote the art of leatherware and carving. Over two years ago, they launched their first leather workshop at the Old Ladies' House Art Space, which was met with great enthusiasm. Last year, they expanded to offer a leather carving workshop, guiding students to explore the greater joys of the craft. They also serve as dedicated instructors for the 'Leather Carving Craft Design and Production' course at the Institute for Tourism Studies and have participated in exhibitions such as the 'First Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan Leather Carving Craftworks Exhibition' and the Institute for Tourism Studies' 'Inheritance · Leatherware and Leather Carving Student Exhibition.'
