The fourth edition of the MGM Macau International Lion Dance Championship brings together elite lion dance troupes from around the world for two days of intense competition at the Grande Praça. Twenty-four champion-level teams from Guangzhou, Macau, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and more will compete for the ultimate 'Lion King' title. This year marks the first participation of a team from Italy.
A significant highlight is the continued prominence of women's lion dance, which has gained international recognition as a sport. Nine women's teams will showcase their skill and power, demonstrating that the tradition is no longer an exclusively male preserve.
