Event Overview
The annual MGM Lion Dance Championship is back! Elite lion dance teams from around the world gather to compete for the prestigious Lion King title.
Co-organized by MGM and the Macau Wushu General Association, the 8th edition of this championship will be held at the MGM Theater in Cotai. The event aims to promote lion dance culture, showcase its spirit, and advance Chinese folk art. Since 2010, it has become one of MGM's most anticipated annual events.
Competition Highlights
- Global Participation: Features 28 elite teams from 12 different regions worldwide.
- Artistic Display: Traditional performances synchronize with gongs, drums, and cymbals. Dancers express a wide range of emotions and movements, requiring profound skill and agility.
- Historic Moment: This year marks the first time female athletes will compete in the Pole Array Freestyle Routine event.
