To implement the 2013 policy guidelines on "encouraging diverse life experiences to enhance youth creativity and innovation" and "promoting the physical and mental health development of young people, encouraging them to participate in and contribute to society," the Outer Harbour Youth Activity Centre under the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) will host the "Meet with Youth: Fok Hoi Sing + Illustration Creation" sharing session.
Fok Hoi Sing is a young Macau artist who recently graduated from the Macau Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Visual Arts Education. During his secondary school years, he participated in the "Art Education Snowball Project – Secondary School Students' Comprehensive Contact with Three-Dimensional Visual Art" organized by the Outer Harbour Youth Activity Centre. Over the years, the young Fok Hoi Sing has continuously explored and strived in his artistic creations. This year, his latest illustration series, "Paradise Series," was selected for the world-renowned Bologna Children's Book Fair – Illustrators Exhibition in Italy. Standing out as one of 77 selected artists from 3,147 illustrators worldwide after rigorous jury selection is a tremendous encouragement and affirmation for both Fok Hoi Sing and the local art community.
During this "Meet with Youth" event, Fok Hoi Sing will share his journey from first encountering art to falling in love with creation, as well as his future career planning on the creative path. He will showcase works from different periods of his career and recount his experience attending the Bologna International Illustration Exhibition. A Q&A session will be held, allowing the audience to interact directly with Fok Hoi Sing and share the joys and experiences of creative work.
All young people and citizens interested in creative work are welcome to attend.
