Macau Zentangle Joint Exhibition & Workshop

The "Macau Zentangle Joint Exhibition" was held from January 7 to 13, 2020 at the Fundação Rui Cunha Gallery. This exhibition was jointly curated by four local Certified Zentangle Teachers (CZTs): Ko Weng Hang, Lo Oi Man, Chan Weng Tan, and Ao Ieng Ian. In addition to showcasing the works of the four instructors, the exhibition also featured pieces from numerous students, covering various themes including collaborative works, merged creations, and Zentangle-Inspired Art.

Zentangle is an emerging art style originating from the United States. It is not just a relaxing way to draw; more importantly, the creative process helps release stress and affirm self-worth. Using simple lines, one can draw intricate and fascinating patterns stroke by stroke. By adding personal elements within a set framework and breaking through self-imposed limits under a structured pattern, one can achieve a state of relaxation and focus.
