Macau has a rich educational history, dating back to the establishment of St. Paul's College in 1594, the first Western-style university in the Far East. Over centuries, the education system evolved from traditional academies to modern schools and universities. Today, Macau boasts over eighty educational institutions, including many with long histories.
Throughout this evolution, many artifacts related to student life and campus use have been preserved but rarely shared with the public.
To systematically preserve the footprints of Macau's educational development, pass on the precious cultural assets of campuses, and evoke public collective memories, the Macau Students' Union is launching the "Macau Campus Artifacts Collection" project.
After the collection concludes, the Macau Students' Union will:
