Artist Lui Chak Keong presents a site-specific installation for the Macau Art Window project.
"Faced with a space 230cm deep and 300cm high, as an architect, I immediately think of the minimum living space for a person. In recent years, with property prices constantly rising, many in society face housing problems. Regarding living space, one can see some very local, characteristic solutions on the streets of Macau, such as mobile food stalls where all utensils and furniture are integrated for easy relocation without affecting business operations. Inspired by this, I created a mobile living space installation. Through this work, I express a state of urban existence characterized by 'rootlessness' and 'non-fixity,' prompting reflection on urban development and housing issues against a backdrop of constant change and prosperity."
