Event Concept
“Record our resonance, play back Macao memories” is the goal of the “Macao Voices” project.
With the city's rapid development, the urban landscape changes daily. A concerning consequence is that urban construction has caused the loss of many things that can never be recovered, such as the destruction of valuable traditional living scenes. This means that sounds that express the unique imagery of the city are gradually disappearing.
About the Exhibition
This exhibition presents the results of the “Macao Voices” collection campaign. It will play and showcase the sounds that are most familiar yet most easily overlooked by Macao residents. Through personal monologues by locals, the exhibition aims to awaken public care for local culture and enrich the collective memory of Macao's small city.
